Manjummel Boys - Review

A group of friends from Manjumel in Kochi, Kerala, are on a trip to Kodaikanal. The team meets with an unexpected accident. How the friends recover from it is the online version of the film 'Manjumel Boys'

'Manjumel Boys' is a group of friends consisting of more than 10 people with different family backgrounds. All of them have experience in wrestling. They decide to go to Kodaikanal to fulfill their dream of visiting Goa. In one way, 11 people, including the driver, sit down in a Qualis car and go to Kodaikanal through Palani.

A walk around the town, the park, the woods and the woods. Then one of the friends decided to visit the Kuna cave to remember it. The Manjumal Boy's group goes beyond the space allowed by the forest department and travels to the prohibited areas. Unexpectedly, Subhash (Sreenath Bhasi) of the group falls into a 900-foot hole in the cave's rock crevice. What happens next is what the film is about.
'Manjumel Boys' is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Chidambaram. The film is a thriller based on a true story. The director establishes that the friendship of a group of friends, full of celebration and elitism, is deeper than the depths of the Devil's Kitchen (the old name of Guna Cave). He told the story to a group of more than ten friends who came to tell the stories without disturbing the audience. The flashback scenes of the friends used to relate to the present are not at all jarring.

About The Film

In the first half of the film, the director happily prepares us for a trip. In the second half, he has taught me the necessary fortitude to face an unexpected situation. Many actors have played their part in the film. Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin Shakir have once again proved their mettle. Saiju Khalid's camera and Ajayan Salisheri's art direction are impressive. Both of them have worked so hard that they don't know which cave is the real one.

Shashin Shyam's background score and Vivek Harshan's cuts make the film riveting. The film begins with a thank you card to the team of Kamal's film Guna, directed by Santhanabharathi. Special thanks to music director Ilayaraja. The love song comes in the title card. A particular part of the song comes at a crucial point in the film and it gives goosebumps to everyone who watches the film.

The song 'Urugi Urugi Bonathadi' from the film Jo and the album song 'Enname En Unnala' from the album Party Sera are the love songs that are trending today. You won't be able to listen to these songs on Instagram, Spotify or Facebook. Similarly, many songs that were heard anywhere during the time of tape recorder, are still alive through the insta reels of many people. The song 'Kanmani Anpodu Lover' from the movie Guna will definitely be in that list.

The song was taken in a cave in a mountainous region where mysteries are hidden. The chirping of the birds, the tightening of the rocks, the darkness of the caves, the swaying trees and branches, the song and the verses and scenes in it, like moss on the rocks, still remain in our memories.

OverAll

Director Chidambaram 's' Manjumel Boys' which is an extension of this effect gives a good cinematic experience to the audience.
