StoryLine
The film is set in a beautiful village in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Geetha Kailasam is the wife of Raju Rajappan.
They have a son (Subhash Ramasamy) and a daughter (Roopa Koduvayur). Daughter Rupa has breathing problems from time to time. He is taking medicines for it.
In this context, the village is preparing for the temple donation ceremony to be held in another two weeks.
Subhash Ramaswamy steals the crown of the temple idol with the help of his friends and starts a business by mortgaging it. Subhash and three of his friends are under the impression that in two weeks there will be a temple festival and if they find out that there is no crown, they will die.
One day, in a fit of rage, Raju comes home and beats up his wife Geetha. When his daughter Rupa asks him why he beat her, Raju hits her too.
As a result, Roopa cries. Geeta wakes up in the middle of the night to find her daughter Rupa dead.
Roopa's family tells the villagers that Roopa died due to suffocation as everyone in the family cried after seeing her body and hanged herself.
The village turns into mourning, and everyone comes to mourn. In this situation, the youth of the village are trying to sleep the body to perform the last rites at night. Then, seeing the corpse unable to sleep, everyone screams and runs around, constantly shaking the body.
To try to put the corpse back to sleep, dead body sits up with his eyes closed. Due to this, all the villagers are running away from home.
Why should a dead woman threaten people like this? ? ? Why don't you allow Rupa's soul to take her body out of the house? ? That's the rest of the story.
How's the film?
Roopa Koduvayur is the heroine of the film. Roopa, who is making her debut in Tamil cinema, has done her role very well. Rupa holds the magic that binds Tamil cinema fans in many places, such as a clear accent, tiny cuteness, and the sight of love. There is no doubt that the film will be a big hit in Tamil.
Also, Raju Rajappan, who plays Roopa's father, fits well in the role of the village head. The reason behind beating his daughter is that in the climax scene, he has threatened his daughter's life and in the angry scene, he has acted well.
Geetha Kailasam, who has played the role of a mother in many films, has also played the role of the heroine's mother in this film. Geeta, who froze after seeing her daughter's death, cries in the climax, expressing her love for her daughter, where she makes everyone's eyes wet.
Subash Ramasamy, who played Roopa's brother, also performed an action scene in the climax scene.
Not only the actors, but the director has also given a very good performance in the film. In particular, the friends of Subhash Ramaswamy, the cop, the drunkard, the local doctor, Rupa's grandmother, the village women, the X-leader, his son, daughter-in-law, all the actors in the film have performed well.
Narendra Prasad is playing an important role in the film. The romantic chemistry between Narendra Prasad and Roopa in the romantic song has worked out well. NP (Narendra Prasad) holds Rupa's leg and makes us cry.
Sujith Sarang's cinematography is one of the biggest strengths of the film. The cinematographer has proved his mettle in many places, such as the lighting set up inside the house, the lighting brought in the love song, and the way the village song is displayed at the beginning of the film.
All the three songs composed by Jesin George have done a great job in taking us on a journey with the story. The background music also brings us into the picture.
Since the film begins at the beginning of the story, the story does not leave us anywhere untouched. If it is a story with a corpse, the director has brought out many things hidden inside it.
The director of the film, Pepin George Jayaseelan, has found success in the question of whether it is possible to bring the stories of cross-caste marriage, fake-minded people, those who are annoyed by the development of others, thuggery, family pride, honor in a film within 2 hours and that too in a horror crime film.
Rajendran's dialogues, Joseph Bapi's art direction, Sreejith Sarang's editing, Arvind Menon's sound mixing, everyone in the film knows the strength of the story and has worked well.
